The word Catharsis comes from the Greek word katharsis meaning purification or cleansing. It's the sense of release and relief of strong or repressed emotions.
I get similar feelings when I see the end of a big project. We built up a grand idea and released it into the world as a gift.
You only get so much time.
Take bold risks and you'll find yourself on the other side restored.
This is what it feels like to create an event and bring it to life.
In March 2018, I started a production company called Failing Social. The goal was to create event spaces where people felt comfortable and willing to be themselves.
We organized three different events and a healing dome at a festival. These projects will always hold a special place in my heart.
The simplest way to market something is by putting a price tag on it. It lets people know that it's available and they could have it.
I understand there's more to marketing than that, but wouldn't it be nice if it sold itself?
You bring the value and it sells itself.
In the Summer of 2019, nine other artists and I came together to create a holistic healing dome. We all came with a unique gift to offer.
We built the space for Incandescence. A festival focused on art, flow, music, eclecticism, fire, and community.
This was the last project we pursued as Failing Social. Special thanks to Steve Wynn Bride for leading the building of the dome.
